Gamification helps Learning

Do you know that video games are acting as an Oxygen where four out five US households own video game device?

42% of American play video games regularly every 3 hours or per week. There are more than 28 million people playing Candy crush and 155 million American play video games.

“The

industry is producing a steady stream of games that continue to expand their nature and impact – they can be artistic, social, and collaborative, with many allowing massive numbers of people from all over the world to participate simultaneously.”—The New Media Consortium’s 2014 K-12 Horizon Report

Due to this huge change, games are also taking part of education where most of the research say that it will be easier for a learner to learn in a gamified way which we call gamification.

What is Gamification?

Gamification of e-learning is the application of game elements and gaming techniques to non-game elements (in this case, online learning content) in an effort to make it fun and engaging. It’s the use of game mechanics to encourage learners to explore and learn as they move towards an end goal. Taken from Articulate community

What’s new about gamification?

Organizations have borrowed elements such as points and badges from games and used them to motivate people for a long time. Weight Watchers, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and military organizations have been using this approach to motivate people for a half century, a century and millennia (respectively).

Out-of-the-Box Idea

Thinking of gamification had given me a revolutionalize idea that will not only enhance the learner’s capabilities but it will also increase their memory power.

We all love to play games and easily get panic if someone try to distract us in the middle of the game which means that our mind 100% involved in the games that’s why our mind don’t want to accept any distractions. Imagine, while you playing a game and after finishing 3 levels, all of the sudden you will be asked a question that is relevant to your profession.

Your attention is 100%. Do you think that you will forget the correct answer or the feedback of that question? I don’t think so.

That’s how the game CLICK is born. A live example that demonstrates exactly what I mentioned. Click below
